The Blinking Eye brings focus to lesser-reviewed pockets of the Bay Area art scene: microcinema, underground theatre, art strolls, experimental music, silent film matinées, local activist documentary, fringe festivals, clown schools and open rehearsals.  It seeks the unusual, the tentative, the tiny, the imperfect, the work-in-progress, the one-night only.  Once in a while, its gaze will land on an opera, a feature film or some other inspiring shape of sensory flourish.
